Raines Lucas is an undergraduate studying Math, Economics, and Chinese with a focus in food systems and econometrics. His previous research uses Integrated Assessment Modeling to find pathways for the decarbonization of aviation. Raines is especially passionate about the transition to sustainable food systems and the possibility of local, self-provisioning economies. In the GLUE Lab, he researches the intersection of cropland expansion and biodiversity, focusing on farm size and on-farm practices. Outside of the lab, Raines is often cooking, hiking, climbing, or playing in local bands!
