Matt joined the Gibbs lab in January 2017 as a GIS analyst/programmer contributing to the research of land-use change in the United States. Matt comes to the lab with a background in natural resource management and has worked as a GIS technician for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the State Cartographer’s Office. Matt received his BS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a GIS Capstone Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His interests include: geographic information systems, geoprocessing, relational database management systems, remote sensing and geovisualization. In his free time he enjoys biking, exploring Northern Wisconsin and spending time with family and friends.
