Elohim is a Ph.D. student at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Focused on political communication, his topic of interest is dis/misinformation in Latin America. From a wider perspective, he is interested in how communication builds trust, legitimacy, and common ground. Elohim was born and grew up in Pucallpa, a city in the Peruvian Amazon, so working at GLUE brings together his worlds.

Elohim has a bachelor's degree in Communication from the Universidad de Lima and a Master of International Development Policy from Duke University as a Rotary Peace Fellow. Before coming to Madison, he worked in political analysis and public policies related to safety and security. He was also a university professor and cofounder of Civiclass, an enterprise to provide virtual training to public servants in Peru.

In the future, Elohim's goal is to keep teaching while working on research and policies to strengthen democracies and sustainability through communication. Elohim lives in Madison with his wife and their two boys.
