Daniel joined the Gibbs lab as a research associate in spring 2016. He studied Environmental Sciences, with a BA in Environmental Policies. He completed his Master in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development, a transdisciplinary program from Stockholm Resilience Center in Sweden. During the last ten years, he has been committed to soy and cattle production, land use and pesticide use research, sustainable agricultural practices, integrated landscape management and certification and standards in Brazil, working with different round-tables and research institutes. In his free time Daniel enjoys biking and surfing in his hometown of Florianópolis in southern Brazil.
