Julia is an undergraduate student majoring in Data Science and Statistics. She has gained hands-on experience in data science projects ranging from financial data analysis to healthcare applications. Her past research experience included applying machine learning and clustering techniques to single-cell RNA-seq data. In the GLUE lab, she is involved in research on cattle ranching patterns in the Brazilian Amazon, focused on monitoring illegal grazing activities and preventing overgrazing. Specifically, she is applying image classification models to identify cattle against diverse backgrounds. In her free time, Julia loves running, hiking, and reading.
